Why Travel Advisors Choose Unique Germany

Unique Germany is the luxury leisure arm of a family-run German incoming agency. We work only through travel advisors. You keep the client and the client relationship; we run the ground programme in Germany — licensed guides, chauffeured cars, hotel space, restaurant tables and private access — and quote it to you at net rates you mark up yourself.

Leisure only — and that is the point

Most German incoming agencies run two businesses from one desk: large group and association work on one side, private leisure travel on the other. When both sit with the same planner, the larger contract wins in high season, and the couple travelling in October is handled by whoever happens to be free that week.

We separated the two. Unique Germany handles private leisure travel exclusively: couples, families, multigenerational parties, pre- and post-cruise land programmes, and special-interest journeys built around wine, art, music, motoring or the Alps. Group and association business is run by a separate brand within the same company and does not compete for our guides, our cars or our attention in the weeks when Germany is fullest — Advent, Oktoberfest and the spring fair weeks in Frankfurt and Munich.

One planner, from first enquiry to departure

The person who answers your first enquiry is the person who builds the itinerary, prices it, briefs the guide and the chauffeur, and stays reachable while your clients are on the ground. There is no handover from a sales desk to an operations desk, no reference number and no shared inbox. If your client changes the plan on day three, the person you already know makes the change.

Guides and chauffeurs we know by name

We do not source guides through a booking platform. Every guide we place holds the licence for the city they work in — Munich, Berlin, Dresden and Nuremberg each operate their own licensing systems — and several houses admit only their own staff, so a castle or gallery morning has to be planned around that rather than assumed. Our chauffeurs drive for us repeatedly, not once, and a chauffeur is never sold to you as a guide. Where your client wants both in one day, we say so and we price both.

How we work with your agency

A full land programme is quoted net: one figure per service or per programme, yours to mark up, never seen by your client. Itineraries, day sheets and driver instructions can carry your branding and no mention of us — say so at quote stage, not after the documents are built. We do not market to your clients during or after the trip, and we route any direct enquiry back to you. Deposits, balance dates and the cancellation scale are governed by our general business terms. When something changes on the ground

Ground handling is judged on the day it goes wrong. A cancelled train between two cities means we reposition a car rather than tell your client to queue. A timed castle slot withdrawn at short notice means an alternative morning that was already sketched in the file, not an apology. A guest who falls ill needs an English-speaking doctor and someone who can talk to a hotel in German. In each case we act first and tell you immediately afterwards — nobody is well served by a duty officer waiting for a reply across six time zones.
