Five Decades of Passion for Travel
Unique Germany is a division of KATER MICE & TOURS GmbH, the company behind CTI, serving tour operators and travel advisors with the focus on the upscale and luxury travel segment. The company was founded in 1974 and operates local offices in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt. The staff reflects a diversity of ages, backgrounds, and skill sets. It is the blend of these personalities and experience that is recognized by the customers as a valuable resource.
Managing Partner Michael Kater and his team build tailor-made German journeys for discerning clients, drawing on more than fifty years of family-run incoming experience since 1974.
Our Mission
If you are a travel advisor crafting a German trip for clients, Unique Germany is committed to exceeding your expectations. Our sole focus is Germany and our passion for the country we are proud to call home is unlimited. The first step in any journey we plan is a conversation. we want to make sure we understand exactly what you are looking for, whether your guests are a solo traveler, a multigenerational family, a honeymoon couple or anything in between. Then we use our insider insight to hand-select the perfect properties, expert guides, trusted drivers and unique experiences from our carefully-vetted roster and create a custom itinerary.
Giving Back
Carpe diem We participate as a donor to the local program “carpe diem” .This Munich based institution is engaged in taking care about elderly people with dementia or mental illness and their relatives.Our company has been active as a donor and provides financial and logistical support for events of this institution, such as day excursions and afternoon meetings. Social Days All employees are able to take off a limited number of days per year for social activities. These days are not counted towards their vacation days and are fully paid.
How We Run Our Offices
In our own offices, KATER MICE & TOURS GmbH – the company behind Unique Germany and CTI – has taken these specific steps:
- Our printers print double-sided by default
- Tea & coffee in our offices are fair-trade products
- Staff travel within Germany mainly by train
- Office heating systems are equipped with energy-saving controls
KATER MICE & TOURS GmbH is Biosphere Certified by the Responsible Tourism Institute, certificate no. BOS 037/2023 RTI, valid until 2028 (register entry).
