Full Day Tour to Berchtesgaden & Eagles Nest

Berchtesgaden & Eagle’s Nest Tour

You will be picked up from your hotel and can enjoy the beautiful landscape en route to Berchtesgaden.

Upon arrival, you’ll have the option to visit the Documentation Center at Obersalzberg, a place dedicated to education and remembrance. This historic site provides an opportunity to learn about the history of Obersalzberg and National Socialism, encouraging reflection on this significant period.

A specially designed bus and an elevator tunneled through the mountainside will take you to the Eagle’s Nest, originally built by the Nazi party as a gift for Hitler’s 50th birthday. The road from Obersalzberg—once Hitler’s residence and southern headquarters—to the Eagle’s Nest parking area is considered a marvel of engineering.

Remarkably, the Eagle’s Nest was left untouched by Allied bombings during WWII. Since 1952, it has been open to the public as a mountaintop restaurant, offering breathtaking views of the Bavarian and Austrian Alps.
